10 Things You Probably Didn't Know About Paul Walker

On November 30th, 2013, the world lost a great actor. Paul Walker's death came after he crashed into a concrete lamppost and two trees in Valencia, Califronia. You may remember him in projects like:
  • The Young and The Restless
  • Pawn Shop Chronicles
  • Into The Blue

However, it was the ‘Fast & Furious’ series that really put him on the map. He played Brian O’Conner in the hit films alongside other stars like Vin Diesel and Michelle Rodriguez.
But did you really know anything else about the star other than the fact that he played Brian in the series? Here are 12 amazing facts about Walker, that you probably didn't know about:

1. Paul got his start early in the industry. He was just a baby when he was featured in a 70s Pampers commercial. 

2. He continued acting as a child and was in a number of projects like ‘Touched By An Angel’ ‘Highway To Heaven,’ and ‘Throb’.

3. When it came to movies, his very first film was ‘Monster in the Closet’ as ‘Professor Bennett'. Just look at those awesome glasses!

4. He attended community college where he majored in Marine Biology. One of his idols was actually Jacques-Yves Cousteau.

5. Before he left, he was the father to a beautiful girl named Meadow. She’s all grown up now, you can see what she looks like on her Instagram page @meadowwalker.

6. The actor loved to street race and actually picked the cars in the ‘Fast & Furious’ movies himself!

7. He was the son of a two-time Golden Gloves champ in boxing! His grandfather was also a boxer who was known as ‘Irish’ Billie Walker.


8. His colleague and best friend, Vin Diesel, named his daughter Pauline after the late great actor. And following the news of the death, Diesel flew straight to California to grieve with Walker’s family. 

9. Walker auditioned to play Anakin Skywalker in the Star Wars prequels. Unfortunately, it has been reported that they said he was too old for the part.  

10. Although he did have a stunt double for the ‘Furious’ films, he actually performed most of the stunts himself!
